The Post project in Apeldoorn offers various rental apartments. Construction number PA14 is one of them. This apartment is located in the courtyard. Your front door is directly upon entering on the first floor. The apartment has an area of 35.2 m2, which is ideal for a studio apartment, but also has space for a bedroom. Stichting Steenvlinder INC focuses on people who struggle to find a rental or purchase home. Regular renting is often not an option: the waiting times at housing corporations are very long, the income is too high for a (regular) social rental home and private rental homes are too expensive. Do you recognize yourself in this? In 4 steps, you will build your own home: 1. Registration & selection: Sign up for the apartment of your choice. You will be invited for an interview and a site visit. 2. Option period: If you proceed to option acceptance, you will work out your plan during the option period in three steps, namely the design, budget, and action plan. After the option period, you sign a use agreement, the house is definitive for you! 3. Fixing up: You will receive a completion budget for the finishing of the home and will be guided by a construction coach. The home meets the applicable laws and regulations after finishing, where the participant has been able to make many choices in the finishing and furnishing of the home. After completion, the houses also have a favorable energy label, making the monthly costs lower than a poorly maintained rental home. 4. You rent the home for at least 2 years. In the next 5 years, the participant has a purchase option at a pre-determined purchase price. INC focuses on affordable housing for people with a (currently) lower income, where the rental phase can serve as a springboard to affordable ownership. Without gifts, without subsidies, but by enabling people to build their own home through hard work. INC is a non-profit foundation aiming to create fair opportunities in the housing market, even for those with smaller wallets. INC has proven effective in its approach. Since 2017, approximately 60 homes have been realized under this unique renovation-rental-purchase scheme.
