The eleven star-shaped buildings of ‘De Sterren’ are a home away from home for hundreds of (partly international) students. The cosy courtyard is perfect to enjoy some afternoon sun, read a book or have a BBQ at one of the special BBQ spots. De Sterren may seem a little further away from the heart of Utrecht, but you can reach the city centre in less than ten minutes through the 'secret' bicycle tunnel under the Waterlinieweg. In addition, a five-minute bike ride will get you to the Utrecht Science Park and busses from both directions stop right at your front door. The building used to be the provincial house of Utrecht, transformed into student premises by SSH in 2013. To live in a room in this student complex, you must prove you are currently studying or will soon start a study. Without an approved document, you will not receive a rental contract!
