In the cozy neighborhood Burgemeestersbuurt in Zaandam, 45 new family homes will be delivered in the coming period. These homes are built by Bouwgroep Dijkstra Draaisma. Each house is equipped with the latest amenities and is completely gas-free. These are energy-efficient homes (BENG) with good insulation, a few solar panels, a heat pump, and a heat recovery system. The garden has a small terrace and a storage room. New homes may sometimes not be connected to the energy grid temporarily. Therefore, there is a special system with a battery installed for these homes that ensures they have power to live comfortably. Residents are asked to be considerate of one another, for example, by not using large appliances at the same time, not turning up the heating too high, and turning off lights when not needed.
