Since 1968, Huize 't Pott has been a student house. With its rich history dating back to 1880, Huize 't Pott is not only a student house but also an iconic home for the city of Enschede. This old textile villa is now the luxurious residence of 8 active and entrepreneurial students. This luxury is reflected in the spacious rooms, each measuring at least 20 square meters. Additionally, our house has a large living room with its own bar and fireplace. Besides a large seating area, there is also room for our pool table and cinema. We also have two kitchens and two bathrooms, and not least, a jacuzzi. Beyond all these tangible benefits, it is the intangible that makes this house so beautiful. The strong bond that each resident has with each other and with former residents means that we live here as a close group of friends. We undertake fun activities together weekly, and we have connections, both inside and outside Enschede, with many houses and associations. As a result, there are often cozy drinks. While there is a lot of fun, we also pay attention to each other's studies and encourage this. Since we each have our own household tasks, responsibility is certainly a key element in Huize 't Pott. This responsibility is also reflected each year in the largest student house gala in the Netherlands, 't Pott Gala, which we organize entirely ourselves, together with the help of former residents, in and around our house.
