Hello! A new 'student house' is being created in Hengelo on Langestraat, above Foto Bertelink, available from September. This house has 4 rooms (each around +/- 15 m2) and shares a new bathroom with shower, sink and washing machine, 1 toilet, larger storage cupboards on the landing, Wi-Fi, and a brand-new kitchen (induction hob and oven) and large fridge/freezer. The kitchen also has new plates, cutlery, glasses, and pans. There is no shared living room. Each room is €500 per month (including utilities) with a deposit of €200. This is advertisement 1 of 4, so check the other rooms. The house expects quiet roommates who are independent and don’t mind there being no shared living room, but enjoy a chat in the kitchen to stay up-to-date. In the sister house there are no social obligations like Monday dinner, and we expect everyone to clean up after themselves and to tackle the house on weekends without a cleaning rota (though this is optional for this new house). Overall, this is not a typical student house but just nice co-living with respect for each other. The location is ideal: the station is 5-10 minutes walk and from there you’re in Enschede, several supermarkets nearby, 5 minutes to the city center, nightlife on the same street, and Saxion and University of Twente are about 30 minutes by bike. Your bike cannot be stored inside, but can be left outside near one of the two shops. Finally, the house is next to Club Merlijn, so on Saturday nights there is often a lot of noise.
