Hello! A new student house is being formed in Hengelo on Langestraat, above Foto Bertelink, available from September. There are 4 rooms, each around +/- 15 m2, with a newly renovated shared bathroom with shower, sink and washing machine, 1 toilet, larger storage cupboards in the hallway, wifi, and a brand new kitchen (induction hob and oven) and large fridge/freezer. The kitchen also has new dishes, cutlery, glassware and pots. There is no shared living room. Each room is €500 per month (including g/w/l) with a deposit of €200. The house expects quiet housemates who are independent and don’t mind there being no shared living room, but chatting in the kitchen to stay up-to-date is nice. We have no social obligations like Monday dinner, and we expect everyone to clean up after themselves and to tidy the house on weekends without a cleaning roster (but this is optional for this new house). Overall, not a typical student house but a pleasant co-living with mutual respect. Location is ideal: station is 5-10 minutes on foot, easy to reach Enschede, multiple supermarkets nearby, 5 minutes to the center, nightlife in the same street, Saxion and University of Twente about 30 minutes by bike. The bike cannot be stored inside, but can be outside at one of two shops. Finally, the house is next to Club Merlijn, so Saturday nights can be very noisy, and there are other nearby venues on weekends. This should be kept in mind.
