Utrecht family districts, from Leidsche Rijn to Lunetten

Leidsche Rijn and Vleuten: new-build family streets
Leidsche Rijn and neighboring Vleuten-De Meern, west of the A2, are Utrecht's newest districts, built from the late 1990s with terraced family houses, back gardens and primary schools close by. Three stations, Utrecht Leidsche Rijn, Utrecht Terwijde and Vleuten, connect them to Utrecht Centraal.
Tuindorp: garden-village houses in the north-east

Lunetten: family streets near the Science Park
Lunetten, in the south-east by the A12 and A27, takes its name from the old forts of the Dutch water line at its edge and has its own station, Utrecht Lunetten.
