Frequently asked questions
Which rental alert app is best in the Netherlands?
There is no single best app for everyone. For internationals we recommend RentHunter, our own product: 1,100+ rental sites, 6 languages, translated listings and auto-apply on major platforms. If you read Dutch and only want alerts, Rentbird, RentSlam and Stekkies cost less.
Is RentHunter free?
You can start for free and set a free alert, with no card required. The paid plan is €34.90 per month and you can cancel at any time.
How fast are rental alerts in the Netherlands?
RentHunter sends alerts within 30 seconds of a new listing. Rentbird, RentSlam and Stekkies state the same figure on their websites. We have not measured them side by side, so choose on coverage, languages and help with applying, not on speed.
Does RentHunter apply to listings for me?
On major platforms such as Funda, Pararius and Kamernet you connect your own accounts, and RentHunter prepares the application and fills in the form. You confirm before it is sent, unless you have pre-approved a listing for automatic sending. You are always the applicant.
Can I use several alert apps at the same time?
Yes, but they cover many of the same sites, so expect to see the same home twice. Start with one, and add another only if you are missing listings.
Do Funda and Pararius send alerts themselves?
Yes. Both offer a free saved search, but it covers that site only. Funda offers a daily email or a push message. The free Pararius alert is a daily email, with instant alerts on the paid Pararius+.
Do I need to speak Dutch?
No. Dutch listings are translated, applications can be sent in English or Dutch, and the platform and support are available in 6 languages.
