An apartment for rent in Huizen costs €1,626 a month on average for 84 m², almost exactly the €1,640 you would pay in Almere across the water. Based on over 400 apartment listings tracked by RentHunter in Huizen since February 2024, 80% asked between €1,078 and €2,250.

Amsterdam is about 53 minutes from Huizen by public transport, over 36 km. Commuters to Amsterdam combine the bus with the train from Naarden-Bussum or Hilversum, or drive along the A1, so a Huizen flat works best with two or three office days a week.

Rotterdam (107 km) and Den Haag (94 km) are each about 83 minutes from Huizen by public transport. That is too far for most daily commuters, but workable for a hybrid job with one or two days on site.
